The States with the highest and lowest divorce rates

Curious how your state ranks in the divorce list? There are many factors that determine the likelihood of a divorce, and one of them is based on your geography! This is due to a combination of factors including age, region, culture, religion, and finances.

Each year there are about half as many divorces as there are marriages – which is probably why most of us have heard that 50% of marriages end in Divorce. While there has been a lot of debate around how accurate these statistics are for predicting divorce, we can numerically measure divorces per 1000 people.
